Privacy Policy for Somnyra

Effective date: August 18, 2026

Somnyra (the “App”) is provided by Rohit Gautam (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Somnyra.

Summary

Somnyra does not require an account. Your favorites, recently played sounds, saved sound blends, playback settings, and timer preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not sell personal information.

On iOS, Apple and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, process purchase information if you use Somnyra Premium. On Android, users may see a Google AdMob banner, and you may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock a temporary Premium Pass.

Information handled by the App

Information stored on your device

Somnyra may store favorites, recent listening activity, saved blends, volume choices, timer state, and other app preferences locally on your device. We do not receive this locally stored information. You can remove it by clearing the App's data or deleting the App, subject to your device's backup behavior.

Purchases and subscriptions

When you make or restore an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous app user identifier, product and subscription identifiers, purchase and renewal status, transaction history, storefront information, and limited device or app information needed to verify purchases, prevent fraud, provide Premium access, and support purchase recovery.

Apple's and RevenueCat's handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies:

Product analytics

Somnyra uses PostHog to understand which product flows are useful and to monitor basic product performance. PostHog receives a pseudonymous app/device identifier, event names, event timestamps, limited app or device information, and event properties needed to understand those flows. Our events describe product interactions such as starting onboarding, selecting an intent, starting a listening session, viewing the paywall, and beginning or completing a purchase. Onboarding event properties may include the intent or situation you select, such as sleep, racing thoughts, going to bed, waking during the night, or meditation. Because these selections may reveal limited health- or wellness-related information, we treat them as health information used for product analytics. These events do not include your name, email address, raw free-form input, audio content, or precise location. PostHog's handling of information is governed by its privacy policy:

Advertising on Android

The Android version shows a banner ad on the Player screen for Android users and offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. A rewarded ad is shown only after you choose to watch it. Google Mobile Ads may process device or other identifiers (including the Android advertising ID where available), IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, app and device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to provide, measure, secure, and where permitted personalize ads. Somnyra receives whether the reward was earned; we do not receive your advertising ID or build an account-based advertising profile.

Where required, Somnyra uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your privacy choices before requesting ads. If a privacy-options entry point is required in your region, you can reopen it from the You screen. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Google's handling of information is governed by its policies:

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and troubleshooting details. We use it only to respond, provide support, protect the App, and comply with legal obligations.

Information we do not intentionally collect

The current version of Somnyra does not require a name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone access, medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, or fitness-sensor data. Apart from the limited onboarding selections described under Product analytics, Somnyra does not intentionally collect health information. Somnyra is a relaxation and ambient-audio tool; it does not diagnose or treat health conditions.

How information is used

Information processed in connection with the App is used to:

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the App, including Apple for distribution and payments, RevenueCat for subscription management, PostHog for pseudonymous product analytics, and Google for Android advertising. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer. Service providers are expected to protect information consistently with applicable law and their agreements with us.

Retention and deletion

Locally stored App preferences remain on your device until you clear them or delete the App. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies and legal obligations. RevenueCat retains subscription-related records as needed to provide its services, prevent fraud, comply with law, and honor purchase restoration. PostHog retains pseudonymous analytics information according to its configured retention settings and policies. Google retains advertising-related information according to its policies and your consent choices.

Somnyra does not create a user account, so there is no Somnyra account to delete. To request deletion of support correspondence or data, if any, that we control, contact us at rowheat141@gmail.com. We may retain information when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes. Requests concerning Apple, RevenueCat, or Google data may also need to be directed to those providers.

Your choices

You may choose not to purchase Premium or watch a rewarded ad, manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings, revisit available advertising privacy choices from the You screen on Android, delete locally stored data by removing the App, and contact us about information under our control. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection rights.

Children's privacy

Somnyra is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

International processing

Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Google, and other service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App where appropriate.
